Original Painting; Osage Warrior circa 1804 Osage Indian the SesquicentennialOsage Warrior circa 1804, an original painting by Joe Don Brave. The Osage warrior, during the 1800's wore an elaborate headdress, made of ivory billed woodpecker, exotic feathers tied on the forehead, before their roach was tied on. They didn't wear this into battle but, before or after the battles. I've spent hours reading about Osage warriors and I paint and draw them as often as I can. 16" x 20"; Acrylic on Canvas.
