This is an alpine cornflower with an intense blue with a looser flower than its lowland cousin, it is a lovely clump forming plant with very showy blue flowers from spring and throughout summer. Prefers well drained soil in sun or partial shade. 20 60 cm, sunny but not dry place, poor stony soil.
