WWI Australian Ankle Boots – Unissued Condition with Original Laces and Cleats marked simply ‘Solingen’ and featuringA rare and completely unused pair of Australian other ranks ankle boots from the First World War; these size 10 examples retain their original seven eyelets and leather laces, along with the distinctive toe and heel cleats and hobnails characteristic of issue boots from the period. The stitch pattern closely matches known Australian WWI examples; the only variation being the addition of a rear ankle leather pull tab, possibly a late or theatre
