This SS sword is fully documented to SS Standarten Fuhrer Hermann Florstedt (NSDAP #488 573). It is engraved with his initials HF on the top of the pommel cap and his SS number 8660 can be seen under the buffer pad. Arthur Hermann Florstedt (18 February 1895 5 April 1945) was a German SS official who served as the third commandant of Majdanek
