The glowing sapphire is predominately purple, but displays a slight colour change to blue when in daylight. The stone is surrounded by 18 rose cut diamonds in yellow gold cut down settings, and a further six (three each side) rose cuts set in the shoulders, leading to a slender, slightly knife edge shank.
