The item is made from bog oak wood, used to imitate Whitby Jet in the Victorian. It's fossilised wood found in peat bogs. The item weighs approx. 9. 11g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. The brooch pin has an old lead repair on the hinge side, see pictures video.
