A superior example of an English, rustic, country kitchen bench from this period, the seat displays a glorious, rich patina with simple notched decoration to the ends. Very solid and stable the shaped trestle end supports are united by a robust rail and lock to the top by means of the block tenon joints where the ends are visible in the seat top adding to the character
