The ends are slightly uneven and have at some point been neatly oversewn in the same style as the edges rather than being fringed

Mahtab Rug Naturalistic birds and sprays ofA 1920s Hamadan rug from NW Persia. The central lozenge on a red ground is intricately patterned with contrasting spandrels. Red, pink, blue, pale green and pops of orange provide lots of opportunity to pick out accent colours with cushions, curtains and other furnishing. Slight loss to one end but otherwise good condition. 205 x 135cm
